What Causes Pimples And The Acne No More Treatment

Acne can be a difficult time in a person's life. The presence of acne is normally evident once you enter puberty better known as early adolescents. The scary thing about acne is that, some people suffer from mild acne while others may suffer from a more severe case. Since acne can affect the face, neck, back and even chest, it can be a really difficult time for the sufferer often leading to bullying and a change in social lifestyle.
Severity of acne can depend on several factors. I would like to go over some of the leading causes of acne in a person's life. Once we determine the cause, we can start to address the treatments that are available.

Puberty or Hormonal Changes
This phase as puberty usually starts around the age of 13 to 25, however some people can start puberty either earlier or even later. Sometimes people even end this phase before the age of 25 or later. During this part in life, your body goes through many chemical changes mostly hormonal imbalance. The increase in male sex hormones called androgens cause the follicular glands to grow larger and make more sebum. The gland are responsible for producing sebum which is a combination of oil and skin cells. When these cells enter the surface of the skin, you begin to develop acne. The presence of increase production of sebum without the right treatment measures can lead to acne and depending on the sebum level, acne severity can be assessed.

With the extra production of sebum your follicles can become blocked and this is when the bacteria and oil start to block the natural cleansing of toxins from within the skin.

Your Diet

Many people are not aware that the food they consume can cause acne to form on the skin. Much of the food we eat can cause your hormone levels to increase causing increased production of sebum, the chemical responsible for acne breakouts.

Dairy like whole milk can cause acne because the cows used during milk processing may be pregnant and already have high levels of hormones. Consume this milk will cause an imbalance in your hormone levels by either boosting your hormone levels or increase your sugar levels which directly influences your hormone levels. Here's a tip, if you suffer from acne, keep a close eye on the fat content of the dairy products that you are purchasing.

Refined Carbohydrates which consist of grains and refined sugars can be very bad for acne sufferers. These sugars can increase the sugar levels in the blood which leads to an hormonal imbalance. The problem with refined carbs is that the machinery used to process these carbs stripes away the nutrients and removes important vitamins and minerals. These nutrients are great for cleansing the blood and cleaning the skin. Since the nutrients are missing from the refined grains, they enter the blood stream very quickly causing a sudden spike in blood sugar levels causing a quick onset of acne breakouts.

Stress And Anxiety

Stress over the years can play a crucial role in your life. The negative effects of stress has been known to cause many of the deadly diseases. Heart attacks, cancer, hair loss and many more all come from lifestyle stress. Another common attribute of stress is acne breakouts. Stress can cause many internal changes within the human body starting with the obvious which is hormonal changes. During puberty, we are already experiencing higher than normal stress levels and the onset of stress just aggravates this condition. Stress is boosting your hormonal levels more leading to extra product of sebum furthermore leading to acne.

Secondly, stress interferes with your sleeping pattern. During sleep the human body is responsible for balancing hormone levels and your immune system is hard at work detoxing and cleansing your body. Since stress can decrease the function of your immune system by 40%, you are decreasing the chances of your system cleaning bacteria from your skin. Your acne may take longer to clear up or even may flare up due to hormonal increases.

Genetics

There is not much knowledge about how genetics play a role in severity of acne but research has shown that it does play a role. If you have a long family history of severe acne than you are most likely to suffer from acne yourself. It is thought that since androgen gland releases hormones called sebum and depending on the levels released this determines your acne severity. If your family has a history of severe acne, it can be related to increased levels of sebum in the blood. This can have a direct impact on your hormone levels and how much is released into your blood stream blocking your follicles.

To get a better understanding, it's like male pattern baldness, if your family history has seen males in your family losing hair at an early age, you are most probably going to suffer the same fate.

How Stress Causes The Onset Of Acne

Stress and anxiety can be related to many health conditions like heart disease, hair loss, cancer, physical conditions and even acne breakouts. When you first visit a doctor, they will go through several questions to determine the cause of severe acne breakouts with the number one question being: Are you suffering from increase levels of stress?

Little is known on how stress and anxiety cause actual acne breakouts to occur but doctors have uncovered a correlation between acne and stress levels.

Whenever you suffer from higher than normal levels of stress your body goes through a "flight or fight" response. Sufficient amount of sleep allows your body to repair and remove these dead skin cells. Sleep also cleanses your body of toxins which normally would run through your blood stream clogging pores developing acne.

Stress Weakens Your Immune System

Research has been vast on the effects of stress on the immune system. What is known is, stress weakens your immune systems response to fight off infections and bacteria from within the blood stream. We also know that stress weakens the immune system by 40% which means that you have just decrease the ability for your body to fight off bacteria close to half.

What Can Be Done?'

There are several options available to you that will help you cope with stress. We are very lucky that we live in a time that much time and effort has been dedicated to stress and its impact on health. First, if you are suffering from stress, you have the option to talk to a therapist. People have been doing this for decades and it has been proven to get to the root of your stress cause. Once you have discovered the cause, you can than work at finding a solution. If a solution is not as simple as talk therapy, than your therapist has the ability to recommend some medication to help you get on the right track.

Secondly, the most beneficial would be to incorporate a exercise routine in your daily lifestyle. Exercise has been proven to combat stress by release pain killer into your blood stream known as endorphins. Endorphins have long been praised for reducing stress and boosting the immune system. It is recommended to add about 30-45 minutes of exercise to your lifestyle every two days minimum. However if you have the ability and time to incorporate more time, than this will benefit your fight to combat stress even more.

Stress And Its Effects On Acne

Acne has been a problem with teenagers and even others ever since the beginning of puberty (age 13-25). Acne is something that will occur no matter what during that time however with the addition of stress, acne can become an escalated problem. Many people are very good at handling stress and this may decrease the severity, however those that are not very good at handling stress related problem, acne aggravation can occur. What is even worse is that if your acne problem is already severe, stress can cause further severity.

Acne And Stress Relation

Many people have always asked what can be done about stress and how does stress directly relate to acne breakouts. First. Stress relates to acne breakouts because when stress occurs, your body begins to increase hormone levels trying to combat the “flight or fight” episode. Your body adjusts for a sudden response by you. This is again done by rapidly increasing the production of hormones from within your adrenal gland. When this gland increases the production, you have a increase in sebum which is the hormone responsible for acne breakouts. The problem occurs when you already have an increase in sebum which usually occurs during puberty, an increase in even more sebum will lead to a severe case of acne. This is why stress is directly related to acne. Another quick note is that stress causes someone to indulge in food which can be seen as sudden food cravings. Eating unhealthy food can aggravate acne breakouts, so there are actually a few ways the stress can be bad for those suffering from acne.

What Can Be Done?

Here are a few quick tips to help you deal with stress related acne…

1. Avoid oily and greasy food because its not good for your health and especially for your skin. These types of foods release the oil and grease into your blood which can end up in your skin tissue causing acne breakouts. It’s directly related to acne because studies have shown that stress suffers do tend to fall into a eating binge consisting of unhealthy foods. Try to avoid foods that are bad for you like chips, soda, fatty cheeses, burgers, fries, etc.

2. Visit a doctor and get some professional help. Many people have found that speaking with a doctor can help decrease stress related situations. Many people don’t know that the solution to stress is as easy as speaking to a professional that can help you come up with creative ways to cope with your stress, Sometimes a professional is what’s needed to help you understand the situation if your stress is caused by a situation which you may not fully understand and may think that it is more worse than actual.

3. Exercise is probably the best solution and should have been listed as number one in this list. Exercise for years has been attributed to good health without too much stress. The reason is because when you exercise, your body begins to release endorphins into your blood stream which have been proven to fight pain and increase your immune system. Endorphins are also natural mood stabilizers which can help you view certain situations more positively. As mentioned some situation are not as bad as you may be viewing them to be.

Try to exercise at least 3-4 times a weak and make sure to moderately increase your heart levels. There are several exercises that can do the trick like jogging, boxing, cycling, elliptical machine and many more. Try to find a workout that you enjoy because this way you will not get de-motivated quickly and stop your workout routines.

4. Avoid situations that you feel will be bad for you or that you know will cause stress at a later time. The problem with us is that we feel that every situation is good for us or to always try things no matter what. We end up in situations that we could have avoided and hence avoiding a headache or stress in the future. Before starting anything, take a few steps back and re-evaluate the situation. If you feel that this is something that you can handle, than jump in. You taking a few steps back before going forward may open up your eyes and you’ll find something wrong with what your getting into. Be patient and I can most certainly guarantee that you’ll be a lot happier with your decision.
